Registration for the 2020-2021 school year
This is a FREE Preschool program. The family must meets the income guidelines set by the California Department of Education.
The preschool program is state-funded and offered by the Santee School District. In order for your child to be eligible, they must be at least three years old on or before December 1st, of current year. Enrollment priority is given to four year old children. Acceptance into preschool is not first come, first serve. Qualified families are placed on a waitlist where they are ranked according to family size and income. Once ranked, children are placed as spaces become available. Classes are in session for three hours daily, Monday through Friday at Prospect Avenue Preschool Annex located at 8655 Ellsworth Lane in Santee. All regular school vacations and holidays are observed. Daycare accomodations before or after the preschool hours are not available. Busing is not provided nor is it provided to other daycare facilities. Student activities include language and psychomotor development as well as beginning skills for reading and math readiness.
Military families are welcome to apply!! Basic allowance for housing will be excluded from your monthly income.
