The Santee School District Board of Education met at 6 p.m. March 19, 2024. Meeting highlights included:

Reports and Presentations

  • Spotlight on Education: Cajon Park site administrators presented an update on student assessment and survey results from the 2022-23 school year, and student academic and climate/culture goals for the 2023-24 school year.

 

Public Hearing

  • A public hearing was held for a proposed increase to Level 1 Developer Fees. Details can be found in the Board Packet. 

Discussion and Action Items

  • The Board appointed Sema Albadrani as the Director of Fiscal Services, effective in April 2024. Mrs. Albadrani has served in both Sweetwater Union High School District and Poway Unified School District in their respective Finance Departments, with her most recent experience as the Finance Manager for Poway Unified.
  • The Board declared May 8, 2024 as Day of the Teacher. 
  • The Board declared May 19-25, 2024 as Classified School Employees Week.

 The next meeting of the Santee School District Board of Education will be at 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 16, 2024, in the Educational Resource Center, 9619 Cuyamaca, Santee. Meetings can also be live-streamed at santeesd.net/LiveBoardMeeting.
