Welcome to Room 19. I am honored and excited to be one of your child's teachers this year. This is my 10th year at PRIDE Academy. I look forward to getting to know my students and their families this year.
Here are some facts about me: I am a native San Diegan. I grew up in Lakeside where I attended El Capitan High School. After high school, I attended UCSD and majored in literature with minors in psychology and general science. I also earned a Master's Degree in Education from National University. I love teaching and learning.
Besides education I am passionate about animals. My other "job" is volunteering with an animal rescue organization. I hope to share the importance of community involvement with my students and encourage them to pursue opportunities to help others.
I strive to maintain a positive and caring atmosphere in our classroom and for all students to feel safe, motivated, and important! My favorite thing about teaching at PRIDE is the amazing community of students, their families, and staff.
If you have any questions about classroom procedures, curriculum, or just want to check in on your child's progress please don't hesitate to call or e-mail me. I look forward to a sucessful year for each and every student.
